Synopsis Feedback

Many agents and publishers will ask you for a synopsis, so they can decide whether they like the look of your novel and whether they can decide whether they like the look of your novel and whether they want to represent/buy it. Synopses, ideally, should be one page, so you need to be extremely economical with your words.

I will review your synopsis and help you craft a compelling, succinct synopsis.

FAQs

I have no idea where to start with a synopsis.

That’s ok. If you’re not sure about how to write a synopsis, you can use my Synopsis Cheat Sheet to help you.

I’m planning to self-publish. Do I need a synopsis?

I think it’s still a good idea to have a synopsis if you are self-publishing. As a self-published author, you will be responsible for all your book marketing. This includes influencer and traditional media marketing. They may ask for a synopsis to decide whether they want to read the full manuscript. It’s worth having it on hand in case you need it.
